OVERVIEW
Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy is looking for either a Part-Time or Full-Time, reliable Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the school facilities. You will be the one to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget.

Our Facilities Maintenance Manager will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking some administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, etc.

Initially, the division of labor between janitorial work and maintenance work is likely to be 70/30. However, it is anticipated that the Facilities Maintenance Manager will develop dexterity with the workload and familiarity with the building and grounds to eventually reach a janitorial maintenance workload of 60/40. The goal is to ensure the school’s facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support Saint Joseph’s mission and operations. Based on the candidate’s experience and background, the position can be either full-time or part-time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.
-Plan and execute routine repair work and improvements within the scope of the manager’s abilities and under advisement of consultants and contractors.
-For larger projects and more complex work, schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment.
-Maintain stock levels and parts within budget.
-Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and assist with energy management.
-Coordinate with Athletic Director, Principal, and Office Manager to ensure that seasonal outdoor maintenance is tended to proactively and preparation for all indoor and outdoor athletics and events is anticipated, planned, and completed promptly and efficiently.
-Routinely round and tend to janitorial needs of the main school building and Student Learning Center. Supplemental janitorial services will complement, but not replace, the cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance of common areas, bathrooms, classrooms, and other areas of the school and SLC.
-Oversee security of buildings and grounds and act upon recommendations of the Security Consultant at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy.
-Maintain ongoing communication with contractors, school personnel, and Board of Trustees.
-Develop clear and comprehensive project priority lists and provide updates to the Board of Trustees and the Facilities committee upon request.

QUALIFICATIONS
-High School degree or equivalent.
-3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions is preferred.
-Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.
-Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.
-Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter.
-Strong communication skills.
