JOB DESCRIPTION
Teach biology basics to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy students in grades 9-12. Develop engaging curricula including lab experiments and other scientific investigations. Present lessons, choose scientific readings for students, and teach students logic and reasoning skills. In addition, the Biology Teacher will design both formative and summative assessments and meaningful lab experiences to evaluate student performance and provide meaningful feedback. Preparing and grading examinations, working with parents on student performance, and supervising student behavior. Additionally, the Biology Teacher should plan on being available for clubs and other school-related activities before and after school hours. This teacher may also teach additional classes related to the life sciences.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
4-year Bachelor of Science in Biology with an education emphasis or minor. Courses in a biology program with an education emphasis may include math, chemistry, teaching methods, and physics.
