OVERVIEW
We are looking for a reliable Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy school facilities. You will be the one to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. Our Facilities Maintenance Manager will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking some administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, etc.

The goal is to ensure the school’s facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support Saint Joseph’s mission and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.
-Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment.
-Maintain stock levels and parts within budget.
-Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and assist with energy management.
-Oversee security of buildings and grounds.
-Maintain ongoing communication with contractors, clients, and team.

QUALIFICATIONS
-High school degree or equivalent.
-3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions is preferred.
-Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.
-Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.
-Must be a well-organized, details and customer (internal and external)-oriented self-starter.

The Head Cafeteria Worker is responsible for ensuring that the school cafeteria and breakfast/lunch program function properly and meet all government regulations while providing guidance to cafeteria staff.

-Overseeing cafeteria workers and/or volunteers including providing work schedules according to principal’s direction.
-Collaborating with school administrative assistant and/or business manager to complete food orders, submit deposit information, and manage account according to established procedures.

The Maintenance General Laborer is responsible for performing an extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of the school sites to include the following duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Cleaning of classrooms.
-Vacuuming all carpeted areas.
-Mopping, stripping, and waxing applicable floors.
-Dusting of all rooms and offices.
-Ensuring that hallways, steps, foyers, etc. are free of debris.
-Daily removal of garbage.
-Cleaning bathrooms and replenishing supplies.
-Disinfecting all areas of the schools to include railings and door knobs.
-Maintaining the cafeteria and kitchen areas to include wiping tables and arranging chairs.
-Cleaning and sanitizing after health-related accidents.

-Snow removal and ice melt application of all necessary areas.

-Experience with online grading and record-keeping systems.
-Familiarity with PowerSchool.
