OVERVIEW
The Maintenance General Laborer is responsible for performing an extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of the school sites to include the following duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Cleaning of classrooms.
-Vacuuming all carpeted areas.
-Mopping, stripping, and waxing applicable floors.
-Dusting of all rooms and offices.
-Ensuring that hallways, steps, foyers, etc. are free of debris.
-Daily removal of garbage.
-Cleaning bathrooms and replenishing supplies.
-Disinfecting all areas of the schools to include railings and door knobs.
-Maintaining the cafeteria and kitchen areas to include wiping tables and arranging chairs.
-Cleaning and sanitizing after health-related accidents.
-Cleaning inside and outside of windows, when needed.
-Caring for landscape and parking lots to include litter removal.
-Snow removal and ice melt application of all necessary areas.
-Minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, tile replacement, etc.
-Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Supportive of the mission of the Catholic Church.
-Able to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan requirements.
-One year of practical general laborer and/or maintenance experience.
-Experience with operating equipment such as floor buffer, snow blower, mower, trimmer.
-Able to multitask and prioritize work for accomplishment in a timely manner.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform tasks in a friendly and respectful manner.

OVERVIEW
Butler Catholic School – a PK-8th grade school in Butler, PA – is seeking a principal for the 2023-24 academic year. The Principal has the unique privilege and responsibility of providing a Christ-centered school atmosphere in which each child can progress spiritually, academically, socially, and physically in accordance with the God-given gifts of the individual student. OVERVIEW
Directs all religious and academic programs as well as provide for the spiritual direction and atmosphere of the school. -Plans and facilitates faculty meetings.
-Clarifies relationships among teachers, subject area chairpersons and specialized personnel in accordance with diocesan policy.
-Recommends changes for improved administration, supervision, and opportunities for student development.
-Identifies intellectual, physical, social, and emotional needs affecting students’ success and directs and coordinates the efforts of teachers and parents with staff services and special education personnel.
-Actively participates with and encourages staff participation in parent-teacher and other community groups to develop understanding, cooperation, and respect for school objectives and endeavors.
-Observes, counsels, and motivates professional staff to attain diocesan educational goals.
-Practices continuous improvement of existing programs and practices curriculum content, teaching methods, and pilot or experimental programs in cooperation with the Diocesan Director of Education, faculty, and subject area specialists.
-Attends professional conferences, seminars, and workshops in education and/or educational administration as available, including those available through the local Intermediate Unit.
-Title I Coordinator – Building Level.
-Participates in the selection of new teaching and classified personnel.
-Conducts new hire orientation.
-Performs teacher evaluations using the approved Diocesan Education Office materials.
-Facilitates annual faculty/staff retreats.
-Plans and submits annual budget needs prior to April 1 of each year.
-Reviews, authorizes, or disapproves professional staff requests for instruction materials and equipment within the approved budget.
-Assists in grant application process.
-Maintains physical and electronic records of students’ demographics, attendance, and grades.
-Communicates effectively to properly inform staff, students, and parents.
-Fulfills responsibilities outlined in applicable by-laws.
-Completes all requirements to keep Administrative Certificate valid.
-Completes Master Catechist.
-All other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
-Actively practicing the Roman Catholic faith with a commitment to Catholic education.
-Able to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan and state requirements.
-Master’s degree in Education or School Administration.
-Valid Pennsylvania Elementary Principal Certification.
-Previous experience in school administration.
-Demonstrated successful budgetary and fiscal management experience.
-Practical leadership and public relations knowledge including collaborating with various stakeholders to build a cohesive and positive child-centered school and greater school environments.
-Familiarity with data-driven instruction.
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
-Experience with online grading and record keeping systems.
-Working knowledge of PowerSchool.
-Experience leading a school community through transformational change is a plus.
-Working knowledge of Schoology Learning Management System.
