The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona will be the site of a Candlelight Concert on October 31 at 7:00 p.m.
The concert, Requiem, Souls and Saints: A Journey from Grief to Glory, will feature six talented young adult musicians from throughout the region: violinists Jennifer Kist and Sister Angela Marie, SSCJ; vocalists Brandis Ajay, Ava Adams, and Paige Matteson Lieb; and organist Claude Fabinyi.
The program will explore themes of the most important parts of the Christian life: death and resurrection through sacred and classical works.
The repertoire will include works by J.S. Bach, Giacomo Puccini, Gabriel Fauré, and other composers.
The concert is free of charge and open to the public and will be followed by a social in the parish hall.
