Catholic Campus Ministry at Penn State University Park

To the approximately 10,000 Catholic students on University Park campus, Catholic Campus Ministry offers a spiritual home away from home. The ministry is a dynamic coalition of students, faculty, staff, local community members and alumni grounded in the Tradition of the Church. Liturgies, retreats, service projects like “Project Haiti,” Bible studies, RCIA, prayer groups and other activities nurture the faith and open hearts to hear God’s message.

In addition to Diocesan funding and regular offertory gifts, interested benefactors continue to provide sacrifical, charitable gifts to support activities of the ministry.

Administered by the Benedictine Fathers of St. Vincent Archabbey since 1962, the Catholic community is excited to call the diocese’s Suzanne Pohland Paterno Catholic Student Faith Center as its off-campus dedicated Catholic spiritual home.

Catholic Campus Ministry in the Diocese

Bequests and other forms of charitable gifts from alumni, parents and friends are always appreciated so we may continue to serve young adults through our Catholic campus ministry outreach programs at Penn State – Altoona, Lock Haven University, Juniata College and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
