Diocesan Seminarian Sean Gibson was formally instituted as a Lector on March 22, 2017. Lector is the first formal step toward being ordained to the Priesthood. The next steps are Acolyte, Candidacy, and Ordination as a Transitional Deacon.
Sean is a member of Saint Peter Parish in Somerset. He is a second year Pre-Theology seminarian at Saint Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore. He is a graduate of Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy. Prior to entering seminary, Sean was employed at L’Arche GWDC, which specializes in offering direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
