Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown is seeking nominations for the 2018 Msgr. William M. Griffin Award and Matthew 25 Youth Humanitarian Award. The honors will be presented at the annual Catholic Charities Recognition Dinner, scheduled for May 30, 2018.
The Msgr. William M. Griffin Award award is given to persons demonstrating a significant, long-term commitment (professional or volunteer) to serving the poor, marginalized and most vulnerable within the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown. The Matthew 25 Youth Humanitarian Award is given to elementary and high school students for demonstrating exceptional service to their communities, especially service to the poor and needy. This service must be “above and beyond” required school community service hours. Award winners will receive a monetary prize and a plaque recognizing their achievements.
