Bishop Welcomes September Guests

On September 3, Bishop Mark will welcome three generations of one family who generously donate their time and talent to the Martha and Mary House in Johnstown, operated by Catholic Charities. As the nation observes Labor Day, meet a grandmother, her daughter, and granddaughter who labor for those in need.

Other upcoming guests:

September 10 — Jeanne Thompson, Diocesan coordinator of Christian Initiation, will join the Bishop to preview the Diocese’s upcoming Catholic Life Conference Day of Reflection, scheduled for later this month.

September 17 — Secretary for Communications Tony DeGol will interview Bishop Mark about the creation of a United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism. The Bishop will speak about the sin of racism and how the Catholic Church can help to combat it.

September 24 — Amy Hill, Communications Director for the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference, updates Bishop Mark on the Church’s effort to defend religious liberty. Ms. Hill will discuss recent developments in Washington and Pennsylvania.

Proclaim!, airs every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on WATM ABC 23, followed by the live broadcast of the Sunday Mass from Saint John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown.
